How to obtain a foreigner's permanent residence card?

Only foreigners who meet specific conditions can obtain a permanent residence card in Poland, including: persons of Polish origin or holders of a valid Pole’s Card intending to settle in Poland permanently or those who have lived continuously for at least 5 years in Poland. It is also necessary to submit a completed application in person with the required attachments to the Provincial Office and pay the relevant fee.

How to obtain a work permit?

A work permit is a document that lets you take up employment while staying in the country. Such a document is issued by the voivode competent for the employer’s registered office. However, it is not the foreigner himself who applies for a work permit, but their employer. They also bear the costs associated with the entire procedure.

Who can apply for a temporary residence permit?

Every foreigner who plans to stay in Poland for longer than 3 months should apply for a temporary residence permit. To obtain such a document, they must submit an application to the department responsible for foreigners at the voivodeship office. After the application is approved, a residence permit is issued for a maximum of 3 years. If a foreigner wants to stay in Poland longer, it is not possible to extend the document – they must apply for a new permit.
